Improved GIS and data analysis capabilities during three-month detail to the Office of Emergency Management. Developed Tableau dashboards to display disaster response and recovery operations during and after disaster events affecting Department of Interior assets and employees. Standardized emergency management data collection, including 15 metrics to be collected during disasters.
Analyzed coal mining impacts on streams using GIS, aerial imagery and remote sensing. Presented visuals and results at the 2016 ARRI Mined Land Reforestation Conference. Contributed original maps, figures and text to the Stream Protection Rule Environmental Impact Statement.
